Resigned and happy

I've resigned! =)

Many of my friends think that I'm crazy doing so, and I don't blame them. This was my dream job, working for the publishing industry. And to have the job shortly after I have graduated was a blessing I am thankful for.

However, after one year of working here, coupled with so many things that I've encountered, I've come to realize that I'm not happy anymore. I've come to a crossroad of sorts and right now, I'm not too sure which road to take.

Maybe the thing with him is a factor. Maybe I'm tired of what I'm doing. Maybe it's because of the problems I have to sort out back home. Or maybe, it's all of it.

One thing is for sure, though: I am not regretting the fact that I have resigned. Not because I don't appreciate the people around, for I will surely miss them. But because this will surely give me time to focus on something more worthwhile: my happiness and the happiness of those I care about.

MOVIE DATE: The Last Song

I'm really looking forward to THE LAST SONG. I'm not a big fan of Miley Cyrus, but the story hit me kinda hard. I love that I didn't even think about how cute Liam was. I got stuck at the whole story and the relationship of the parents. Ugh! I wish it's May 12 already.

Hello again, Blog.

Napagalitan ako ni Cielo nung isang araw, because I wasn't able to blog for the longest time. Sorry na Cielo. I've been busy lately and it's hard for me to find time to actually write something that's blog-worthy for me. So anyway, since I'm currently not doing anything at the office, I figured I'll post something today.

But I'm still thinking what.

Hmmn. Well, it's Gella's last day at HIP today. Although I know na magkikita pa kami, medyo nalulungkot ako kasi we'll be like our other friends na hindi na madalas magkita. BOO! Pero I know she's happy with her decision and that makes me happy too.

Meanwhile, I'm nearing my first year here at HIP. I'm quite happy about that. Not really because of the work I do (although I sometimes enjoy the job), but because of the people I work with. Masama ba yun? Haha!

My childhood friends are all doing well. Zhelle, Ate Dang and Faye, I think are quite happy; Cindy, Gie and Diane are enjoying bumming around; T-jay is somewhere in Zambales, enjoying the sun and being the center of attention. My other guy childhood friends are enjoying DOTA and basketball as usual. Che and I, well, we're both working are asses off while they do all these. Kawawa naman kami. Tapos kami pa lagi yung manlilibre. Haha!

My main worry now are my two best friends. My girl best friend May seems to have a problem. When I last had a chat with her over Facebook, she seems to be a bit down. But she's refusing to tell me over Facebook. I'm really worried. My other best friend... well, let's just say things aren't going great between the two of us. I think anyone who can't look at their longtime best friend in the eye while they talk, has issues with said best friend. I'm not comfortable saying my problems and pouring my heart out to him anymore. And who can blame me when my problem is him in the first place. So, there.

I'm feeling crappy about my writing too. I want to delete this right now because I sound like an eleven year old. But I won't.

I wonder what'll happen now.

It's been a while since I blogged. Super busy with AdEdge, the magazine we're doing, and I can't find the time to compose even a short entry. Since it's Thursday, and our car's color-coded (what's the use of having two cars when it's coded on the same day?), I'm extra-extra-early, and alone, in the office today.

Project 52 began yesterday. Or today. It's hard to know since we're a day ahead of them here in the Philippines. I'm already thinking of what to blog and I think what happened last night, or, more correctly, this early morning, was the perfect topic. But, I don't know. I'm still thinking though.

2. Holding Hands While Watching A Movie

The first time was when we were watching "The Grudge" sa bahay. We were with the whole tropa and we were sitting together sa sofa. You suddenly took the throw pillow behind me, took my hand and covered it with the pillow. I was so surprised, and my heart was thumping so hard I thought I'll burst open right there. I didn't know what to do and I can't even look at you. Di ko alam kung bakit mo ginawa yun nun. Maybe because you knew na takot ako sa mga ganyang films so you took my hand. But a squeeze would have been enough. To lace our fingers together was something else.

I think that was the first night I started thinking of you as more than a friend.

From then on, automatic nang hahawakan mo ko sa kamay whenever we watch the movies, sa bahay man o sa movie house. And I'm gonna miss that.

The Day I Really Laughed

Masaya ako ngayon. Sobra!

These days, mas game ako sa mga trip. Like kanina, na-trip-an naming bumili ng pizza from YC, which is in Las Pinas pa. So me, and three of my friends, rode in my dad's car and then went to get some New York's Finest, some hot wings, and then ice cream! Tapos andito na si Beloved, back from Macau. Nothing beats food tripping with the right people =)

Tapos, nagyaya si Jepoy, my cousin, ng patintero. Which we had to play ng tahimik since 12 na kami nag-umpisa and napagalitan na kami ng kapitbahay. "Kung ayaw niyong magpatulog, magpatulog kayo!" Eh?

Anway, I'm happy. I haven't laughed so hard like this for a long time and I really missed these guys. And being a child. Yung ang problema lang is kung nataya nga ba talaga ako o damit lang ang nahagip. Haha! I love patintero. =)

Thursday thoughts

Iba pa rin talaga once you see the actual thing. You might think it's ok, but no, it's not. And no matter how much I console myself that I'm doing the right thing, that doesn't change the facts that 1. It is true; 2. It hurts; and 3. I can't change anything about it.

I'm really trying my best. Ayoko na rin talaga. But with each act I get so confused with what I really want. Does moving on really have stages? If so, I wonder what stage I am on right now?

Ok, so you're saying that if I follow these steps, I might have avoided that cliche? Hahaha! Ok, sige. Well, sana pala pinost na to sa malalaking billboards sa daan. It could have saved a lot of heartaches and the world would have been spared from "girly tears" and emotional shits. Bakit kaya hindi na lang ganun no? Imbes na kung anong picture ng kung sinong tao ang ilagay, tips and how-tos na lang ng buhay ang i-put up nilang billboards. That way, people would be more grateful for the advices.

Pero, oo nga naman. Hindi nga naman makakabenta ang mga tips and how-tos na yan, unless lagyan sa dulo ng "Wear Bench Body and make him fall in love with you instead." O, ayos diba? Kaso mas accident prone ata yun, since mas nakakadistract sa mga motorista kung babasahin pa nila yun on their way.

ANYWAY!

How is me? Me is fine. I think?

How is it that people spend so much time at school, trying to earn degrees and masterals and PhDs, to get into good jobs in the future, but can't even answer a simple question like "How are you?" I find that funny. Because it's an everyday question that people often find hard to answer.

Ask me how I am today, and I'll probably shrug and say, "Okay," but there will always be a voice in my head that's screaming "I am not okay. I am far from okay." But I won't tell you that unless you pressure me to, and unless you really know who I am and can easily know when I'm lying and when I'm not.
